Overnight Campwill take place rain or shine. On rainy days our indoor gymnasium will be used for a variety of activities including stroke practice, fitness, basketball, video analysis, tennis quizzes, and etcetera. If there is more than one rain day per week, campers will be transported to a local indoor tennis facility for training.
Junior Day Camp will take place rain or shine. On rainy days the following procedures will be followed:
From 9-11:15, interactive indoor training will be held in Hunt Tennis Pavilion. Activities include video analysis, lecture, tennis quizzes, interactive team games, fitness training, strategy and mental training.
Lunch will be served at 11:30, and a decision will be made as whether the afternoon training will be held outdoors or at a local indoor tennis facility.
If indoor facility is necessary, campers will be transported to local indoor tennis club for afternoon training. All campers will return to Choate for 4:00 pickup.
Medical Policy:
The Director or a staff member will treat all minor injuries and illnesses on site. A CPR/First Aid certified staff member will be on site at all times, along with basic first aid equipment. Camps are required by CT State Law to have a Physician on call, and any major illnesses or injuries will be referred to our camp Physician. A medical form must be completed prior to attending camp that will disclose any known medical conditions and provide insurance coverage and policy number.
