POLICIES

RAIN POLICY: Junior Day Camp will take place rain or shine. On rainy days the following procedures will be followed:
  • From 9-11:15, interactive indoor training will be held in Hunt Tennis Pavilion. Activities include video analysis, lecture, tennis quizzes, interactive team games, fitness training, strategy and mental training.
  • Lunch will be served at 11:30, and a decision will be made as whether the afternoon training will be held outdoors or at a local indoor tennis facility.
  • If indoor facility is necessary, campers will be transported to local indoor tennis club for afternoon training. All campers will return to Choate for 4:00 pickup.
  • A $50 refundable “rain deposit” will be required for each week of Junior Day Camp enrollment. This deposit will be used to assist in covering costs for indoor tennis facility use and transportation at a rate of $25 per rain day, up to a maximum of $50 per week. If there are no rain days in any given week, then $50 will be fully refunded.
  • MEDICAL POLICY: The Director or a staff member will treat all minor injuries and illnesses on site. A CPR/First Aid certified staff member will be on site at all times, along with basic first aid equipment. Any major illnesses will be referred to the Mid State Medical Center. A medical form must be completed prior to attending the Junior Day Camp that will disclose any known medical conditions and provide insurance coverage and policy number.

    CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellation policy is as follows:
  • JUNIOR DAY CAMP/“NEW STARS” PROGRAM—Cancellations 21 or more days in advance will receive a full refund (minus $50 processing fee). Cancellations between 15 and 21 days will receive two-thirds refund (minus $50 processing fee). Cancellations between 8 and 14 days will receive one-third refund. Cancellations within 7 days or less will receive no refund.
  • ALL OTHER PROGRAMS—24 hour cancellation policy
