Welcome to The Michael Filipek Tennis & Sports Academy!

In its eleventh year, the Michael Filipek Tennis & Sports Academy / adidas tennis camp – has established itself as one of the best camps in the Northeast. 2016 was a very successful summer in both the tennis & multi sport camps. We will once again be hosting our 2017 tennis & multi-sport summer camp at Choate Rosemary Hall and Avon Old Farms School, and we are proud to announce two new camp locations: Copper Valley Swim & Tennis Club in Cheshire, CT and Trinity Pawling School in Pawling, New York. These locations boast beautiful settings along with some of the finest tennis and athletic facilities in New England.

For 2017, in addition to our top quality tennis camp we are very excited to offer our campers again the option to attend our multi-sport camp, which has become very popular among our campers since we introduced it four years ago. The multi-sport option is offered in addition to our full day tennis camp.  As always at select locations in 2017 campers may choose any of the following multi sport combination: Option 1: Tennis & Soccer, Option 2: Tennis & Basketball or Option 3: Tennis, Soccer & Basketball.  Our multi sport camp is designed for those campers who wish to improve their tennis but also balance their experience with other sports. The soccer and basketball programs will be instructional based and the skills and training included in these three sports are quite complimentary. Please go to the “Avon Old Farms”  and/or “Trinity Pawling “pages for more information on both programs such as schedules, dates and pricing

Both overnight camp locations are located between 1.5 – 2.5 hours from New York City and  Boston. Based upon interest we may offer transportation to/from NYC and our overnight camp locations at an additional cost.  We provide our campers with a top quality experience tailored to their needs. Our camps feature:

  • Tennis only or multi-sport curriculum
  • Day and overnight options
  • Our philosophy of a “Quality, not Quantity” approach
  • Balance of on court (field) and off court (field) training, with at least 4.5 hours training per day for day campers, 5-6 hours for overnight campers
  • Low camper/instructor ratios
  • Slow motion, personalized video analysis of all campers, reviewed one on one with a Director
  • For beginner through intermediate tennis players: focus on fundamental skills, stroke production and fun, skill building games
